What makes a Wild Heart Ranch Kids Club member different? ...Our members love animals and take an active role in making a difference in the world.

Kids! Send us your stories about how you’ve contributed to making this a better world for animals both wild and domestic . If we choose your submission , here’s what you’ll win:

• A Certificate of Merit.
• You and your story will be featured on the Wild Heart Ranch website.
• A plush toy or book of YOUR choice! This can be mailed directly to you or to an organization or person to whom you would like donate this prize.

A great example of what kids can do... Wild horses these days owe their lives to one small woman who wouldn’t take ‘no’ for an answer. That woman was called Wild Horse Annie. From 1950 until her death in 1977 Annie fought for the rights of wild horses. Annie encouraged children to write letters to Congress and as a result of the children’s and Annie’s efforts, the Free-Roaming Wild Horse and Burro act was passed in Congress on Dec. 15, 1971. Thousands of horses are alive today because of Annie’s spirit of determination. This shows that kids can and have made a difference, both collectively and individually.

We are looking for stories of all kinds for this monthly contest. It doesn’t matter if you clean stalls for a horse rescue organization, walk dogs for the SPCA, or are working to keep wild horses safe from slaughter. Any effort, big or small, towards improving the lives of any and all animal(s) is appreciated. Please speak from your heart when telling us how you contribute to making this a better world for animals. We would appreciate knowing how helping out animals has contributed to the quality of your life as well.
