My
first foal experience
By Carol Boudier
I can still
see Dustar, like it was yesterday, tiny and wet from being born. This
little wee chestnut colt was going to carry me down the center line
one day. He was the smallest thoroughbred colt I had ever seen, but
he was so cute, with freckles on his white blaze. I helped him get to
his feet for the very first time in his life. He leaned against my right
side and struggled to his hooves. Now he is a vibrant two year old ,
and still growing. I can now see the day coming when he will indeed
carry me on his back. I hope I don't get bucked off! He is one of the
best experiences I've ever had. He really is a part of me.
