Faith 's "Melody" is music to a little girl's heart

Congratulations to Faith, Dawn and Calli VanZant’s retired thoroughbred mare for having her first foal. Her new gray filly, Melody is now the talk of the town because she is so cute! Faith is a dark bay fifteen year old thoroughbred mare, who is a grand daughter of the famous Seattle Slew. Over the years she has competed in hunter jumper classes with Dawn’s daughter Callan VanZant and was placed in most of her classes. A few years back Faith suffered from a severe case of colic and had to go into a surgery that took over ten hours. Only a horse with such a stubborn and fiery spirit such as Faith’s would pull through such an extreme surgery.

After the surgery, Faith was retired and and was sent to Alberta to have a wonderful horse's life of eating grass in a pasture and having babies . Her new life has agreed with her and her destiny is coming full circle as a mother .

Last year Faith was bred to a Welsh pony stallion, and now has given birth to her firs foal. The foal 's adorable face and disposition, has made her the must have pony and everyone wants her .

Faith's survival of a life threatening surgery was worth it when you look at Melody's face!
