Catch the Wave of This Year’s Aquatic
Toy Craze with the I Sea Horses New Plush Collectible Seahorse?
POINT ROBERTS, WA, September 8, 2004 - Wild Heart Ranch, an entertainment
and toy company is currently marketing the I Sea Horses brand
of plush collectible seahorses and accompanying I Sea Horses
children's book. The new toys are riding a wave of success with comparable
aquatic-themed brands including "Aquapets,” from Wild Planet,
which originated in Japan and quickly became a top-selling collectible
toy.
Additionally, the recent premiere of DreamWorks Animation's new computer-animated
comedy "Shark Tale" sold out in hours, evidencing consumer
interest in marine/aquatic themes. And who can forget last year’s
smash hit “Finding Nemo”?
The new line of six plush I Sea Horses collectible characters
is based on an original children's book by Dawn Van Zant. Kids and
adults will be entertained and educated by the magical marine adventure
book about a herd of wild horses that transforms into seahorses in
order to maintain their life of freedom and adventure that is disappearing
form the open plains.
The herd is led by Pegasus, a beautiful white stallion who has a premonition
that the wild herd's legacy of running freely on the land is about
to end. The buffalo and wild horses are facing the end of their era,
and they must find a new place to live.
Pegasus has a dream that he has a choice of the sea or the sky. He
chooses to take his herd to find a new life in the sea and the herd
transforms from earthy colored four-legged wild horses to a magical
tropical hue of blue, green and pink seahorses.
Standing afraid on the edge of the cold dark water, the herd is met
by Marina, a bright Star that has fallen to the sea and has become
the light of the ocean as a starfish. The Star’s journey to
find her reflection on the ocean below created a path to the ocean
floor, where the moon and stars could follow. Her love of the ocean
and her friendship with the wild horses becomes a permanent bond,
such that the seahorses carry the starfish to light their way in the
dark.
The I Sea Horses toy line combines elements of myth and magic
to capture children's love of the ocean and imaginations. The collectible
brightly-colored seahorses each have a unique character, identified
by a poem on their name tag. They light up the dark when you squeeze
their belly and also come with a comb to brush their long silky hair.
(These seahorses have not fully evolved from horses to seahorses,
and thus still have a mane!)
New additions to the I Sea Horses interactive children's
website include a new seahorse e-zine called the "Sea Star"
where children will be able to keep current with latest seahorse news
and pictures.
