One of Wild Heart’s own employees saves the day and rescues a wild baby bird from near death; confirming that what is wild in nature is what calls to our hearts. 

POINT ROBERTS, WA, Delta, B.C. July 13, 2006 – Wild Heart Ranch, Inc. (www.WildHeartRanch.com) along with www.FavoritePetStories.com web site are pleased to recognize one of their own employees, Jo Anne for her compassion in saving one small baby bird named “Loki”. Wild Heart Ranch and Favorite Pet Stories encourages people of all ages to  become aware of the need for conservation of endangered animals in the world and encourages children and parents to help make a difference in the animal world.

Wild Heart’s strong belief in saving animals has even affected its co-workers to stay true to this concept and bring it upon themselves to help save the animals from their own community. Jo Anne, a Wild Heart Ranch and Favorite Pet Stories employee, took it upon herself last week to save a small baby bird, “Loki” from near death, and now is nurturing it back to health. Through Jo Anne’s long hours of feeding, and true kindness to the baby bird, “Loki” is as strong as ever, only 6 days later.

At Wild Heart’s office, there is no shortage of animals now. It seems the employees work better in the company of their animal friends. Including the newest member Loki, there are now three animals that keep everyone in bright spirits at Wild Heart Ranch’s Home Office. Ann-Marie another colleague at the office, each day brings her two dogs Churchie, the tough French Bull Dog and Mackenzie, an adorable Pug to work with her. Both dogs bring smiles to everyone’s faces at the office and help maintain a cheerful atmosphere. Between the three Loki, Churchie, and Mackenzie, Wild Heart’s office never makes for a dull moment. Perhaps if you call Wild Heart’s office one day you too might hear the chirp of a wild bird “Loki”, and the excited barks from Churchie and Mackenzie greeting you!

Excerpt from Loki and Jo Anne’s Story

“Once the bird had settled into its new found home, another employee, Jeremy Green, suggested that the baby bird would need some food in order to maintain its strength. So with only a fork in hand, Jeremy went outside to see what he could find for food. Looking back on the experience, he reflects, “I went from being the ‘computer graphics guy’ to the ‘guy who uses a fork to dig for worms for a baby bird.’ (Laughs) I searched and searched and eventually, I found a little centipede.”
